99 Years young
Eaglemont Railway Station marked its 99th anniversary earlier this month, celebrating a rich legacy that began on 1 May 1926. Named after the historic Mount Eagle estate, the station has long stood as a key part of Eaglemont’s identity. The line between Ivanhoe and Heidelberg was duplicated in 1949, and the current station building on Platform 2 was introduced in 1979 — each chapter adding to its enduring character.
While we usually come together to honour our local heritage in May, please note that there will be no Heritage Day celebration in 2025.
As we prepare to mark two major milestones — the Eaglemont Railway Station Centenary in 2026 and the Eaglemont Village Centenary in 2027 — the Eaglemont Village Traders Association is taking this time to plan and deliver two truly special commemorative events.
🎉 In the meantime, we’re excited to welcome the community back for a new localevent in September, followed by our annual Christmas celebration in December.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to celebrating Eaglemont’s past, present and future — together.
