RED RATTLER TICKET FAQs

Q: DO I NEED TO BOOK?

A: Yes, you need to book, as there are limited passenger numbers per shuttle.

Q: CAN I GET A TICKET ON THE DAY?

A: Yes, there will be a dedicated Ticket Booth at the event, however, be aware some shuttle times may already be sold out.

Q: HOW DO I GET A SOUVENIR TRAIN TICKET?

A: Simply visit the Ticket Booth and show your booking confirmation. Each paid passenger will receive a keepsake ticket.

Q: CAN I GET A SOUVENIR TRAIN TICKET IF I DON’T RIDE THE RED RATTLER?

A: The Souvenir Tickets are exclusively for Red Rattler riders.

Q: CAN I USE MY MYKI CARD?

A: No, not for this special experience!

Q: WHEREDO I BOARD FROM?

A: Eaglemont Station Platform 2 or Flinders Street Station Platform 3, if you booked a Transfer 1.

Q: CAN I BOARD A SHUTTLE RIDE AT CLIFTON HILL STATION INSTEAD?

A: All Red Rattler shuttle rides begin and end at Eaglemont Station Platform 2

Q: WHAT IF I MISS THE TRAIN?

A: No refunds are issued if you miss your shuttle session. Ensure youmake your way to Platform 2 at least 10 minutes prior to departure and we’ll keep you entertained whilst you wait.

Q: CAN I EAT ON THE TRAIN?

A: No, Steamrail VIC prefers to keep this restored beauty spick & span.

Q: WILL MYPRAM FIT ON BOARD?

A: Due to the restricted design of the carriages, prams and mobility aids will not fit on board. Pram Parking is available atPlatform 2, where your goods will be securely storedwhilst you enjoy the ride.

Q: CAN I BRING MY PET POOCH ALONG FOR THE RIDE?

A: Only assistance dogs for vision or hearing-impaired passengers are permitted on board. Family pets will need to sit this one out.

Q: I CAN’T GET THERE ON 11 AUG – WILL IT BEBACK NEXT MONTH?

A: Sorry,you’ll have to wait until Heritage Day ‘25.
