It was a day of sunshine and happiness at this year’s Spring Festival. Crowds gathered from near and far with revellers overheard calling friends and family from not just this suburb but from all over Melbourne to come and join!
Whether enjoying the rides and entertainment, picking up quality produce and trader specials or feasting on the many food and beverage options, fun was had by all the family.
There were grandparents pushing buggies, mums with babes in arms, toddlers queuing to have faces painted, children enjoying the animal farm and the more adventurous attempting the shark slide and abseiling wall with dads in tow.
Popcorn, fairy floss and a sausage sizzle were eagerly consumed by all.
We thank Cr Jenny Mulholland for attending and opening our event and are extremely proud to announce that we raised $4000 for The Salvation Army. The esteemed Salvation Army Band kindly played for the crowd as a gesture of their gratitude. We were fortunate to be mentioned on the 3AW Saturday Morning Show too.
Over 100 entries in the colouring competition were received from local schools and you can view a wonderful selection on the window of Precision Learning (No. 65), including the winners. All traders enthusiastically supported this event which was put together in only a few weeks. Thank you to everyone who came along to support and help us celebrate, making this event a huge success.
